Books That Made Me Cry

Okay, you should know that when I read I am very emotional. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry. And sometimes I just feel like throwing my book across the room because of second-hand embassement. It really just depends. But these books are the ones that gave me the most emotional damage. They both die at the end - I mean it’s in the title. They die. I knew that it was inevitable that all good things come to an end, but I still read it. I didn’t plan on getting so attached to Rufus and Matteo in those 243 pages. I fell in love with their love. I couldn’t put it down. A friend of mine had to take the book away from me because I was crying in the middle of class. Truly a great book though. Don’t let the title scare you away. It is worth the heartbreak. Flowers for Algernon - This book was heartbreaking in the sense that it was hard seeing someone so unaware of the world around him. But then he understood it all only to have everything change again. I was so happy for him, he finally felt like he was truly living his life. This book is considered a classic but it is a fairly easy read. Beautifully written for sure. Girl in Pieces - Omg!! This book is magnificently written! I cannot put into words how much I love this book. It was gut-wrenching to see how she dealt with pain and loss. She went through so much and was still a good person. She had her ups and downs but she came out on top of it all. I loved following her story of finding herself and healing. I am Malala - Alright to be honest I haven’t read this in a few years. But, I did read it about 5 times in one month. When I was in 3rd grade I was obsessed with this book. I loved everything about it, how it was real, the writing, the story. All of it. I have read this book more times than I can count to be fair. But every time I reread it, it feels like I’m home. I love how Malala tells her story in this book. It is so real and makes me think about how good I have it here. /5
