I know I already own a lot of books, but what can I say? I love books. Okay, so today my mom, my sister, and I had a girls' day (clothes shopping, food out, books, makeup, all of it) the books were our last stop and a spur-of-the-moment decision. We were going to avoid books because they are so expensive. But it was a Half Priced Book Store, so fairly cheap books! So I went in and went straight to the literature sections, so classics and such. Favorite sections probably. I ended up leaving with 4 books for myself and my sister had 5 and my mom 1.

Life of Pi - I will admit, I was skeptical about this book. I watched about 3/4ths of the movie and got bored. It has a good plot it is just slow but very in-depth. The reason I bought it was because someone else annotated it!!!!! Now, I know, I know, I know for sure (hehe) some people hate people writing in books. But, this person had some hilarious annotations, I will try to figure out how to post pictures later. And I knew I had to buy it, if only for the person's commentary. I am excited to read this book!! Hoping for a 4 or 5-star review.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - I have absolutely, never heard of this book before but it sounds good. The guy befriends a girl who is dying. Chances are I will end up crying at the end like a John Green novel. But, I think it will be worth it. 3 or 4 stars maybe?

Destiny of the Republic - My excellent American Studies teacher recommended this book to me a while ago. I haven't been able to find it, but I did now! It is like a murder mystery, but with politics, drama, and historical facts. He said he loves this female author and adores all of her books. I cannot wait!! 5 stars according to my teacher.

The Ghosts We Keep - I have never heard of this book before but the font of the text drew me in. Props to the graphic designer. It is about a boy (Liam) who loses his brother and how he becomes friends with his brother's friend. I will not give this a potential rating but I am thrilled to read this one for so many reasons. Liam's name, the cover, the storyline, all of it!
